Welcome To Masjid Omar Al-Farooq
Since there was no Masjid in Lake Mary area and the growing population of Muslims in the area prompted the need of a masjid in Lake Mary area. The Masjid Omar Al-Farooq was established in 2015 to help facilitate folks working on Lake Mary as closes Masjid at the time was about 15 – 20 mins one way drive. At times, it made it very difficult for the working professionals to attend Jummah. Masjid Omar A-Farooq provided an option to be less than 10 mins driving distance. The Masjid Omar A-Farooq was registered under ICNA Florida, is a nonprofit, non-political, religious organization. Later due to UIF requirement now Masjid Omar Al-Farooq is registered under Heathrow Muslim Community Center (HMCC).
The is a community place open to anyone, not only a mosque for prayer. The Center is dedicated to preserving Islamic identity, creating and sustaining a vibrant Muslim community, and advancing a comprehensive Islamic way of life based on the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad.
